Anatolia is one of the most exciting regions of Southwest Asia, where new studies on chronology, networks, connectivity and indigenous culture during the Bronze and Iron Ages (ca. 3000?600 BC) shed light on developments of Ancient Near Eastern civilizations. The contributions in this volume present recent research and analyses on Anatolian stratigraphy, chronology, archaeometry, material culture, Hittitology, archaeobotany and the extensive connections with the periphery. The commemorative publication is dedicated to Dr. Sachihiro Omura who initiated the establishment of the Japanese Institute of Anatolian Archaeology (JIAA) in May 1998 in Ca??rkan, Kaman, Turkey, where to this day he continues to serve as the director. Omura started his groundbreaking excavations at Kaman Kalehoeyuek in 1986, his research and excavation contribute significantly to the understanding of Central Anatolian Bronze and Iron Age chronology and stratigraphy. The volume includes a foreword by her Highness Princess Akiko.
