解説
Reframes the ontological, normative, and political dimensions of structural injustice
The concept of structural injustice has a long intellectual history. The idea that injustice results from structural processes, and is mediated by structural and ideological factors, is central to the work of theorists such as Marx, du Bois, and de Beauvoir, among many others. This volume addresses three core questions at the center of the contemporary philosophical, legal, and political debate on structural injustice: the ontological question - what is a structure and how the "structural" in structural injustice should be understood; the normative question - what makes a structural injustice unjust; and the political question - how should we think about transformative political action in the context of persisting structural injustice? This volume explores the complexities involved in these questions, the plurality of possible approaches, and provides novel answers to them.
