This text covers the design, construction, and maintenance of glass structures for civil and structural engineering and architecture students, and also for building and facade engineers wanting an overview. It presents the full spectrum of engineering topics, from glass as a material, its use, stress analysis and detailed design, and code-based design procedures. It sets out testing, maintenance, and sustainability, and the reuse of construction sector glass products and structures. No prior knowledge of glass structures is required. The design concepts and examples largely follow Technical Specification CEN/TS 19100:2021, and prEN 19100:2024, the draft of the Eurocode 10 on Design of Glass Structures, one of the 2nd generation Eurocodes.
