Lightweight Radiant Heating and Cooling Systems: Thermal Power and Economic Analysis investigates the technology for installing heating and cooling without wet and dry screeds in a horizontal or vertical arrangement. It presents the determination of comfortable conditions for using lightweight radiant heating and cooling system (LRH/CS) and demonstrates how to conduct an economic analysis of available floor heating systems using multi-criteria decision analysis.

Representing the first part of an ongoing study, which contains a body of general information about available traditional surface heating systems and systems based on LRH/CS, this book presents laboratory tests, thermal power calculations, and analysis of the comfort of use of a lightweight radiant heating system (LRHS) with and without heat-dissipating lamellas. It also contains calculations of thermal efficiency or maximum supply temperature based on specific materials' parameters for different types of flooring cover, such as ceramic tile.
