解説

This book compiles selected peer-reviewed contributions from the BIOMAT 2025 International Symposium, held from November 9 to 14, 2025, in Belgrade, Serbia, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the symposium series, organized by the non-profit international association BIOMAT Consortium-International Institute for Interdisciplinary Mathematical and Biological Sciences (I (3)MBS). The BIOMAT Consortium celebrated 25 years of activity in 2025, having organized 25 international symposia from 2001 to 2025.

In this book, readers find recent discoveries and surveys by experts from around the world on topics such as novel numerical methods applied to mathematical biology, AI-driven approaches to anatomical modeling in biomedical engineering, mathematical and computational modeling of disease spread, the characterization of the processes of evolution and formation of protein domains, and mathematical model-based assessments of medical treatments for cancer, HIV infection, mosquito-borne diseases, and other infectious dynamics.

Held annually since 2001, the BIOMAT International Symposium brings together researchers from Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and related fields in a single conference to foster interdisciplinary exchange of results, ideas, and techniques, promoting genuine international cooperation in addressing scientific problems. BIOMAT volumes published from the 2017 to 2025 conferences are also available from Springer.
