This book highlights all the women who have received the National Medal of Science and the National Medal of Technology and Innovation from 1970 - 2007 (a companion book continues through 2024). The book provides an overview of the life of each woman and discusses her scientific and technical contribution in a manner that is accessible to those with little or no formal training in science.
