≫Reform of the German Appeal (?Revision?) after Introducing a Comprehensive Documentation of Trial Hearings? An Analysis Based on a Critical Comparison with the Appeal at the ICC≪: On the occasion of the discussion about the introduction of a comprehensive documentation of trial hearings, this thesis shows that the practiced scope of control of the German Appeal (?Revision?) no longer differs significantly from a direct control of the assessment of evidence, as it takes place at the International Criminal Court. So neither dogmatic, nor the analysed practical issues ultimately stand in the way of a convergence of the two examined remedies.
