The aim of this book is to provide the English-speaking public interested in philosophy, history of philosophy, (especially in German idealism) a one-book summary of Hegel's view on Protestantism, which is also the explication of his philosophical development, in the context of the wider problem of religion which determined the evolution of his early system. The book does not only reconstruct Hegel’s view on Protestantism, but also his philosophical evolution.
