This is Volume VI of six in a series on the Ancient Near East. Originally published in 1923, this study compares the language of the semitic group of languages. The semitic languages are a group of closely allied members spread over a clearly defined and limited area. The consist of five branches- Arabic, Abyssinian, Hebrew, Aramaic and Assyrian.
