First published in 1942, this volume offers an informal sketch of England from the perspective of a Northern Irish woman. Written by Nesca A. Robb, a native of Belfast, the volume was intended as a personal record of the author's impressions of life in England, from about 1924, when she went up to Oxford, to the onset of the Second World War.
