Originally published in 1911, this book was the fifth volume in the Girton College Studies series. It provides a highly informative analysis of Marcus Cornelius Fronto's prominent and varied role in Roman society, seeking to counteract some of the damage inflicted on his critical reputation during the hundred years preceding publication.
