The third annual edition of the practitioners' reference guide to the practice of civil litigation in England and Wales. The 2002 edition (the first to be published by Oxford University Press) is up to date to mid-December 2001. Some changes in civil procedure have already been announced: new enforcement procedures in Parts 70 to 73 of the Civil Procedure Rules; new EC Regulation on jurisdiction; and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters. This volume deals with the law in these areas both before and after these provisions. A subject-focused text, the book sets out the law on civil procedure in 78 chapters which follow the course of proceedings from pre-action protocols to enforcement of judgments. These chapters are backed up by appendices containing a scrupulously edited complete text of the Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions and selected legislation relating to civil procedure and jurisdiction.
