This work gives practical approaches for practitioners working with the elderly, focusing on GSE - an interactive, multi-modal group programme as an affective method of dealing with core issues of isolation and reduced social networks. It gives specific deatils on how to design, implement and monitor progress for various types of group modalities. Intervention strategies such as reminiscence, spirituality, music therapy, phototherapy and bibliotherapy are utilized throughout.
