This series sets out the way in which urban land and property markets operate in European countries. All rules and regulations, planning procedures, land and property law and taxation are explained. Also described is the way it all works in practice, what processes are in operation, and who the actors in the process are - all illustrated by up-to-date data and detailed case studies of representative projects. All books in the series have been written to the same structure, to facilitate cross-comparison and to enable the reader to look up equivalent topics in each. Each book is written by a team of experts, most of whom were originally invited to participate in a five-country research project commissioned by the German government, on which this series is based. This book focuses on the urban land and property markets in Itlay.
