This text begins with a review of strategic management tools and models and their application in a business context. It goes on to look at examples of the application of the tools and models outlined in the previous section. Issues specific to East European ports are addressed including changes in the region, ownership changes and data. The application of strategic management in East European ports is examined with a survey of ports to assess the strategic management tools used.
