≫The German Law on the Sale of Horses after the Implementation of the European Sale of Goods Directive≪: This thesis examines the effects of the recent sales law reform on the horse trade in Germany. After a critical analysis of the new legal system of horse sales, principles of interpretation are developed and alternative regulation options are discussed. To ensure a more legally secure and animal welfare-friendly handling of the regulations, which are originally designed for the sale of objects, the thesis proposes punctual animal-specific modifications of the German sales law.
