International and European Law Requirements for Environmental Assessments and Environmental Legal Protection in Stepped Infrastructure Planning with Special Consideration of the MgvG≪: The MgvG (≫Act Preparing for Measures Act≪) is a German federal law, the subject of which is a procedure to permit the new construction, expansion and modification of certain infrastructure projects no longer by means of a plan approval decision, but by law. The thesis assesses the compliance of this new practice with international and European law, exposing that the de facto repeal of legal standing for environmental organizations does not comply with Germany’s international obligations.
