This book offers an in-depth, cross-disciplinary discussion of the translatability of social emotions. Part I is a collection of essays by leading philosophers of semiotics in Europe and Latin America, exploring the translatability of social emotions as a culturally embedded social behavior that requires a fully contextualized historical interpretation of their origins in different social and cultural settings.
