Banking Regulation Driven Hybrid Financing Instruments The book examines the wide range of existing hybrid financing instruments and which are accepted to substitute equity under the European rules of banking regulation. Furthermore it analyses the systemic risk which arises from the issuance of similar hybrid financing instruments on a huge scale resulting in the conclusion that many clauses in bond terms incentivise risk taking and the conceptual homogeneity of costumized instruments leads to high systemic risk.
