解説
This edition of the Demographic Observatory offers a set of tabulated population data, by recent and absolute migratory status, disaggregated by sex, for both major administrative divisions (MAD) and minor administrative divisions (MIAD). The data include 23 Latin American and Caribbean countries for the census periods circa 1990 and 2000. The methodological notes for this edition of the Observatory give a short history and brief description of the Database on Internal Migration in Latin America and the Caribbean (MIALC) and include a compilation of the definitions relating to the questions on usual place of residence, birthplace and place of residence five years previously.
