The advent of technology and globalisation of commerce have dramatically increased the need for a unified law of intellectual property. While copyright and trademark law have made progress in defining and enforcing global ownership rights, patent law is the least coordinated area, with many legal issues still remaining to be resolved among the laws of countries and regions. "International Patent Treaties with Commentary" analyses the current state of patent treaties and suggests practical procedures for lawyers to best protect the ideas of their clients at a reasonable cost.
