After more than a decade of limited engagement in Somalia, the World Bank in cooperation with development partners began to re-engage in 2003. Supported by several donor agencies, a World Bank team worked with Somali nongovernmental organizations over several months to research conflict sources and dynamics in the three main regions of Somalia.
