"The new edition of this well-received work on waste regulation has been expanded and thoroughly updated. Following the initial implementation of the Landfill Directive by the Landfill (England and Wales) Regulations 2002, the effects of these developments are discussed and examined in the context of the integrated pollution prevention and control regime.There is also a chapter on contaminated land covering the Environmental Protection Act 1990 Pt IIA (which came into force in April 2000) explaining the regime for closed landfill sites.
