解説
Since the 1992 publication of the third edition of Administering the School Library Media Center, schools and school libraries have changed significantly. AASL's publication of Information Power: Building Partnerships for Learning, with its emphasis on the collaborative teaching role of school media specialists, the increasing importance of information literacy, the proliferation of new technologies, and the introduction of the Internet have all had a significant impact on the administration of school library media centers. This new edition encompasses all of these innovations as it covers the basics of administration, facilities management, selection of materials, staffing, budgeting, organization, and the like.
