Corporate governance has evolved and grown significantly in the last decade. Numerous countries have issued corporate governance codes, and the recommendations of these codes, that typify "good" corporate governance, contribute towards increased transparency and disclosure. This publication, derived from a two-day workshop in 2001, examines corporate governance from various perspectives, including those of national and regional policy makers, regulators, the investing community, member of boards of directors. The selected issues discussed are complemented by regional and country experience from the European Union, Malaysia and Africa.
