The new edition of Riddall: Land Law takes into account new case law that has helped to clarify matters as disparate as: fixtures, the discharge of water on to a neighbour's land, severance by notice, the division of property between co-owners, the nature of licences, the nature of the interest held by a tolerated trespasser, the surrender of leases, and various others. But it is in legislation that the most significant changes have been seen.
