This study is a philosophical interpretation of a key section in Immanuel Kant's principal work, "Critique of Pure Reason". In a critical, detailed examination of 20th-century interpretations, the author draws on the perspective of formal logic and epistemological critique. He shows that space, time and causality as well as the modal concepts of possibility, reality and necessity have fundamental importance with regard to human knowledge and insight.
