The aim of this manual is to provide hands-on guidance for the implementation of the more practical modules of the System of integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting (SEEA) at the national level. A system of 'how-to' steps lead through the implementation process supported by explanatory tables and corresponding software. The manual is intended primarily for use by data producers working either with official statistics or with research pilot projects although chapters discussing the use of the accounting results in planning and policy analysis would be of interest to policy makers. SEEA aims to broaden the scope of national accounts to reflect the use of national assets in addition to produced capital consumption.
