This publication provides information and analysis on the economic, political and social differences which separate men and women, and gives some insight as to how these differences have changed in the past decades. The report consists of distinct parts: country profiles and comparitive analysis. The profile pages provide a snapshot of the gender situation of those countries that provided data for the given indicators. The second part contains analyses of some of the issues that are most important to policy debate and exposes gender inequalities in different countries of the region.
