解説
The contrast between the two works in this volume is great. McIniscon's work is a denunciation of Thomas Malthus whereas Senior offers a more measured and scholarly critique. Senior's work contains correspondence with Malthus that offers an insight into Malthus's opinions and illustrates that despite the two men never reaching an agreement they remained on friendly terms.
