For the first time since the debate on "virtual working" started, this book addresses the social and organizational dynamics that underlie the new ways of working. In addition to providing accounts of developments such as Web-based enterprises and virtual teams, the book focuses on the issues raised when information technology is employed to transcend boundaries between and within organizations.
