The subject of disabled students in universities has been overlooked in educational research. Building on the content of his first book "steps towards graduation" Alan Hurst has worked with colleagues from overseas to compile a collection of papers which explore aspects of policy and provision for this important student minority. The book contains accounts from Australia and North America as well as countries at different stages of policy development in Europe. The book should be of interest to staff working with students with disabilities in post-compulsory education since it describes strategies for developing policy, which could be transferable to other contexts.
