Their proposals were critiqued by leading scholars and health care experts from across the country. These discussions, which took place during the rewriting the Health Security Act proposed by the Clinton administration and the Republican takeover of Congress, shed new light on the nature of health care reform, the nature of the political process, and the realistic choices that now lie before us.
