解説
This work focuses on the development of the "New Asian Newly Industrialised Economies", taking historical and contemporary perspectives on the growth in the region. Both industrial and economic concerns and social aspects, such as gender and ethnicity, are addressed. The authors link growth of manufactured exports with liberalization in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia and observe similar changes occuring in Vietnam and Laos. The pattern of this development is the focus of this study of capitalist economic growth.
