In instances of non-compliance of rules and regulations from Brussels there are a number of remedies available to individuals and organizations. The 1996 beef crisis has also highlighted the need for effective remedies at both government and individual level when a breach of EU law is suspected. The Inter-Governmental Conference in 1996 should also keep interest high.
