Local Authorities and Outside Organisations is the first specialist work in an area of local government finance which has been revolutionised by the "externalisation" of services, the establishment of partnerships with the voluntary and private sectors, and the need to tap into private finance. The book describes and discusses the law relating to local authorities and their relationship with companies in which they have an interest.
