Extensively revised, this text has been updated to take account of developments in administrative law. The intention of the book remains the same: to provide a clear and short statement of the most important rules concerning judicial control of governmental administrative activity, and to provide a wider framework for understanding those rules. What emerges from this analysis is that the role of the courts in adjudicating complaints about governmental administrative action is not that of mutual arbiter but that of active participant in the public decision-making process. It is aimed at first and second year undergraduate law students and their teachers.
