解説
National experience of the interaction of macroeconomic policy and employment is reviewed for seven regions: South Asia, East and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, the OECD countries and the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. These regional accounts identify distinct trends in employment performance under alternative policy regimes. In future policy design, individual countries must coordinate macroeconomic and labour market policies to attain stability, generate jobs and remain globally competitive.
