This text looks at the opportunities and challenges of managing the European water environment, detailing the effects of the reorganization of the industry in Western Europe, and of the political changes in Eastern Europe. Eastern European countries now have a unique opportunity to draw from Western experience when reconstructing their regulatory and organizational framework for water management.
