This work is part of an ongoing campaign against the practice of torture in both Israel and the Occupied Territories. Its analysis and evidence are supplemented by action-orientated recommendations for an international campaign against torture, the possible role that codes of medical ethics can play and the use of the legal system. The book focuses on Israel, where over 400,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza have been detained or jailed since 1967.
