Lecture Notes are a resource for those studying and teaching law. Aimed primarily at students taking undergraduate or CPE courses, each title of the series examines a particular field of the law, with chapters for each of the major topics within the subject. Each chapter ends with a summary sheet giving an overview of the issues discussed. This work provides the reader with a clear explanation of the relationship of the landlord and tenant, its formal requirements and its benefits and burdens. Common law principles and statuory provisions in relation to each type of lease are stated, and, where appropriate, critically examined.
